I'm guessing it's a slab of ice cream cut from the bottom of a tub of vanilla, and you've cut it to put in an ice cream cake. Maybe?
My second guess is a piece of drywall cut in a circle shape, maybe to install a recessed lighting fixture.
Is it a white cake???

It has pores in it, like alka seltzer or something like that.
